All of us in the communications and computer business have been talking about "convergence" for more than a decade. But it's not always clear what we knew ... or when we knew it: * Ten years ago, we thought we "knew" convergence would take the shape of an "information superhighway," with interactive TV as the "killer app." * One year ago, what we "knew" was that dot.coms ruled, that "eyeballs" trumped "customers," and that "old economy" companies had gone the way of the Victrola.
