Camping with the family.(poetry)(Poem)

Fun For Kidz, July, 2004 by Conley, Chris

Camping with the Family

   Camping with the family,
   Can be a summer treat.
And if you take this good advice,
The fun will not be beat.

   Snakes out in the wilderness
   Can be a scary sight.
Just let them slither on their way
   For frightened snakes may bite.

   Roasting squishy marshmallows,
   A joyful thing to do,
Just always use a pointed stick,
And you can do it too.

   Black and yellow honeybees
   Are terrors of the sky.
A single sting from one of these
   Will surely make you cry.

   Always wear a life jacket
   While rowing in a boat,
And then if you should fall outside,
You will be sure to float.

And if you ever see a skunk,
   Just slowly walk away
'Cause you don't want to catch a whiff
   Of stinky,...
