Green tech

Geographical, May, 2009

Nolonger does high tech automatically mean high environmental impact.

US giant Polartec[R] which supplies the world with a vast range of fabrics used in winter sports is getting even greener. In 2008 the firm will save 38 million tons of CO2 by using recycled fabrics.

More than 20 percent of Polartec[R] fabrics will now contain recycled content including post-consumer waste such as plastic bottles. More than 20 million hangtags used on Polartec[R] products have been converted to Forest Seal Certified paper from sustainable pulp.
