Thales Navigation's newest Magellan eXplorist GPS receivers reportedly deliver 3-meter accuracy and include a PC application that enables the transference of Web-based information. The 400, 500, and 600 models feature unlimited Secure Digital (SD)-card memory expansion and a built-in SD-card reader/writer, as well as PC-like file management capabilities and a high-speed USB data port for uploading coordinates and maps. Magellan eXplorist receivers can calculate vertical profiles for road elevations and are compatible with most Magellan MapSend software products for those who want to add street detail, topographic data, and marine navigation information.
