The Georgia Department of Transportation has successfully deployed Bentley Systems' Advanced Routing and Permitting System. The system, which streamlines the issuance and administration of oversize/overweight (OS/OW) vehicle permits for the state, has improved the department's ability to capture and share OS/OW information.

The next phase of implementation will allow self-issuance of some permits over the Internet. In other Bentley news, Shanghai Baosteel Engineering and Technology Company Ltd. (BSEE) has chosen the company's DigitalPlant as its principal three-dimensional design software. In choosing DigitalPlant, BSEE was seeking a design solution that would provide scalability, ease of use, and support.
