HEALTH-TEX HIRES FINANCIAL WHIZ
The fiscal wounds at Health-tex, Inc., have been slow to heal. The troubled children's wear manufacturer's newest band-aid is the recently hired Alan Cohen, who was appointed chief executive officer after the mid-summer resignation of Health-tex president Colombe Nicholas.
Nicholas, who held the top post at Christian Dior's U.S. operation prior to coming to Health-tex in February, was touted as the manager who could turn the unprofitable firm around. The company declined comment on the reason for Nicholas' departure.
For several years, Health-tex has been losing money. However, market sources report that the firm has shown some slight fiscal improvement in the past six months. Cohen says he hopes to boost...
