Kermit The Frog, Miss Piggy and other Jim Henson Productions' Muppet characters will make a whole new fashion statement in Wal-Mart stores this month. In a partnership that includes Mamiye Brothers, which will manufacture the playwear, the giant discount department store is opening 300 in-store Muppet boutiques.
The fashionable playwear includes coordinated sets, one-piece styles and separate tops and bottoms, all featuring the Classic Muppet characters, including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo and Animal. The characters are done as large, colorful screenprints or as all-over prints featuring themes based on indoor and outdoor playtime activities.
