INDUSTRY VETERAN Alan Galbraith has been named president of John-Richard, effective Feb. 1.
John-Richard owner Alex Malouf, who has held that title, said Galbraith will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Greenwood, Miss.-based company. Malouf will continue as chairman.
"Out of all the people I've talked with," Malouf said, "Alan is the perfect person, unbelievably qualified to run a diversified company like John-Richard."
Galbraith, who has been in the lighting industry for 21 years, was in senior management with Fine Art Lamps for 13 years, president of Kichler portables and CEO and part owner of Corbett Lighting.
"This is a great opportunity," Galbraith said. "John-Richard is a fine company with huge potential....
