As reported in this month's By the Numbers (see page 6), the infant developmental toy segment continues to grow. About 65% of specialty store owners surveyed said they carried the toys, and these items are a constant at mass retailers. As the category expands, so do the options. Children can learn to develop their senses through DVDs, music CDs, tiny computer keyboards and the like.
