US Ink Unveils Spectra Max Color, PressDoctor 2000
Ink World, July, 2000
US Ink has expanded its Spectra family of inks with the addition of Spectra Max color inks. According to the company, Spectra Max inks offer their customers the opportunity to explore the next level in color ink technology.
"Spectra Max Color, is an example of US Ink's on-going commitment to research and product development," said Larry Lepore, US Ink's vice president of operations. "Our high-strength Spectra Color inks have been successful because of their print quality and consistency. Spectra Max Color is an even higher strength product and printers can now achieve their goal of maximum quality while employing a thinner ink film. The utilization of less ink translates into better mileage and also represents significant production advantages with less page-to-page setoff, and a higher quality level with improved print contrast and traps."

"As technology and products evolve, so do the potential problems and opportunities confronting the coldset printing industry," said Dennis Cheesman, US Ink's director of customer service. "We make every effort to focus on those issues critical to contemporary operations. This year, for example, we have devoted more coverage to linkage between prepress and press."
