The year 1992 saw the publication of these two broad-gauged, but also conceptual, works on the arms trade, which together improve the state of the literature on that subject, after a lengthy hiatus that had seen numerous works with a narrower focus. Neither Krause nor Laurance claim to provide a theory" of or for the arms trade.
