Stuart Hill has successfully used concepts from cognitive social psychology, specifically schema theory, to construct a more accurate explanation of citizen assessment of technological choices--referred to as "social process" theory. He has produced a superior piece of public policy analysis by filling in the lacunae in previous research on citizen assessment without rejecting such analyses entirely.
