Inequality and political violence revisited. (comment on an article by Edward N. Muller and Mitchell A. Seligson, American Political Science Review, vol.81, p.425, 1987)

Researchers Edward N. Muller and Mitchell A. Seligson showed in their previous study that high levels of income inequality promoted high levels of political violence. To prove that they were objective in their study they used the logged ordinary least-squares (LOLS) in their statistical analysis. However, T. Y. Wang claimed that the exponential Poisson regression (EPR) model could have given more accurate results. In a replication study, Muller, Seligson and William J. Dixon employed both the LOLS and EPR models and came up with a conclusion similar to the one they previously formulated.
