The American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME), New York, NY, has announced its president for the 2008-09 term, Thomas M. Barlow. He will begin his one-year term in June 2008. Mr. Barlow is retired from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and is currently a member of the External Advisory Board of the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Department at Washington State University.
