Doors and Hardware, August, 2003

Marketed by Yale Commercial Locks & Hardware, the Touchcode 99 Electronic Lockset series is a state of-the-art electronic keyless-entry device utilizing a keypad to allow entrance whenever a valid combination is entered. Up to 99 users can be programmed into the lock, each with a unique combination consisting of up to six digits. Programming of the lock is done at the keypad, where user codes can be entered, changed or deleted. No separate programmer is required. Available in eight finishes and three lever and knob designs, the Touchcode 99 is a self-contained, battery-operated entry control system with a non-volatile, solid-state memory. One of Yale's original electric locksets, it was designed to provide the industrial, commercial, residential and hospitality markets with a reliable, moderately priced, keyless entry (mechanical key override available) in interior or protected exterior environments.
