NEW YORK -- Dieting, in the view of some experts, is more than a process of simply cutting calories. It should also involve eating pure and natural food products that aid bodily functions.
For dieters, this means that products that help to cleanse the body of toxins are important.
"Not all consumers understand that taking a colon cleanser prior to dieting is important for longterm success," notes Gary Pigott, vice president of sales at Mason Vitamins.
The company has recently introduced Dieter's Detox, an advanced colon cleanser formula. The new product contains a combination of weight-loss nutrients and fibers that work together to promote healthy weight and nutrition, according to company officials.

Chromium is involved in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. Chitosan is a fiber that "soaks up" fats and oils. Glucomannan creates a feeling of fullness that discourages overeating. White kidney bean extract helps reduce body weight and fat mass. Psyllium husk helps to maintain gastrointestinal function. Finally, a detox water blend helps eliminate excess water.
Botanical Laboratories, meanwhile, offers the Wellesse Rejuvenating Kit, a two-part detoxifying and replenishing program.
During the first week of use, the detoxifying formula with milk thistle helps support the liver's detoxifying process to decrease the buildup of harmful toxins in the body. During the second week probiotic capsules replace healthy bacterial flora that support nutrient absorption of the gastrointestinal system.
The company maintains that the program will boost energy levels and provide an excellent start to a diet program.
For its part, Northwest Natural Products supplies Detox 7, a natural seven-day program that promotes internal body cleansing and elimination of toxins, to provide a feeling of being revitalized and energized.
