Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedStores aim to showcase products
MMR, Jan 14, 2008
To draw shoppers in, Fresh & Easy outlets are designed to have a bit of visual punch on the outside. Inside the store, though, the products themselves are meant to be the stars. Clear containers let consumers see the ready meals and perishables that are Fresh & Easy's main attractions, while the shelves themselves are designed to facilitate restocking (keeping operating costs low) as well as to highlight products. The 10,000-square-foot stores also feature self-checkouts and polished concrete floors.
