WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- CVS Caremark Corp. has restructured its senior management to foster improved collaboration and communication.

Changes include promotions to executive vice president for Helena Foulkes and Jon Roberts, and the appointment of Stuart McGuigan as chief information officer.

Foulkes, who had been senior vice president of health care services, is now executive vice president and chief marketing officer. She will be responsible for enterprisewide marketing including retail, pharmacy benefits management, public relations, corporate communications and community relations. Alignment of these teams under one umbrella is designed to assure consistent messages for all internal and external audiences.

In more than 16 years with CVS Caremark and CVS Corp., Foulkes has amassed extensive experience in retail marketing and strategy, including leadership of new-product development.

Roberts, who had been senior vice president and chief information officer, is now executive vice president of pharmacy purchasing, pricing and network relations. He will be responsible for PBM trade and retail pharmaceutical purchasing, new-product development, underwriting and PBM networks. His oversight is intended to improve coordination and collaboration across the company's retail and PBM businesses.

Roberts has some 30 years of retail pharmacy experience, including field management, business operations and information-systems integration.

McGuigan most recently was CIO of Liberty Mutual, where he directed a 3,000-plus employee IT organization.
