COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Global Market Development Center (GMDC) has named Lou Martire chairman of its Education Leadership Council.
Martire is vice president of trade development at Energizer Holdings Inc., a position he has held since 1996. He has spent 36 years with the company in sales, marketing and general management.

The Education Leadership Council's mission is to help GMDC members expand their businesses by sharing consumer and business insights and best practices with them. The council holds workshops, offers benchmarking and online training services, and conducts studies.
