SSA Global files IPO.(Views from the front)

Enterprise suite vendor SSA Global wasn't about to discuss the company's June 4 filing for an initial public offering (IPO)--given that Salesforce.com had to delay its IPO after CEO Marc Benioff talked to the press during its IPO "quiet period." But SSA Global's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission--probably the first from an ERP vendor since the high-tech bubble burst--depicts a vendor looking to balance recurring revenue from its 13,000 customers with landing new ones.
