A recent study from strategic consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, San Jose (www.semiconductors.frost.com), calculates the world power-transistor market generated revenues of $5.27 billion in 2001 and could top $6.23 billion in 2004. "Ever-smaller, more-functional electronic devices need compact, higher-power transistors," says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Sunderraju Ramachandran.
