Samsung's SyncMaster 171MP. Available now for $1,399 (estimated street price). Selling points: The 17-inch LCD monitor is a 3-in-1 computer monitor that also includes a modular TV tuner and video inputs for DVD players or other devices. The monitor is HDTV ready with component video inputs and a resolution of 1280 x 1024 with a 400:1 contrast ratio. The monitor also includes Samsung's proprietary PVA software, which greatly improves the viewing angle of LCDs.
