So the FDA has taken control of the tobacco industry and the most immediate change we will see is the elimination of artificial and natural flavors, as well as spices and herbs, in tobacco products like cherry, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, chocolate, and many more. The only flavor exceptions are tobacco and menthol. The only area of our industry that remains untouched by this new law at this time--and it could change at any time in the future--are cigars and pipe tobacco.

It's no secret that many new laws and regulations are coming down the pike for the tobacco industry with the recent enactment of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act at the end of June but the totality of its overall impact on the industry will be seen long into the future. ...
