I am impressed that at arts in education conferences the burning topic is invariably the same: "What is it that we need to demonstrate, to prove to them, that the arts deserve a central place in education? While we talk about how the arts put students in touch with what makes us human, they only care about statistics. We need hard evidence to convince them that schools need to spend more time on the arts."
