The Royal Bank of Scotland's business consultancy unit has seen rising demand for its services from outside organisations recently. This prompted the decision to register with BSI, as doing so would boost the unit's competitiveness. It implemented a quality management system and was successful in gaining BSI 9001 registration at the first attempt. BSI registration has brought many benefits, including a quality management system which allows continuous self- and team-based improvement.
