Steamboat's Jig, a software program for rendering traditional geometry as well as photo-realistic hair, volumes, and particles, was featured in Asia Image's SIGGRAPH Preview last month. Jig was on display and on sale at the show, but the company also announced the launch of a subsidiary company, Steam Engine, as an alternative solution for developing new rendering pipelines and effects.
