face2face is a new venture from Lucent Technologies New Ventures Group. Its facial analysis software product uses purely visual recognition in the recording of lip and facial movements, without the need for markers, stickers, coloured lipsticks or special headgear.
Called alterEGO, the software is designed for the automated lip synchronisation and facial animation of characters.
