Toei Animation, a major Japanese animation house, is turning its animation production process fully digital. The facility digitalised its finishing process -- painting and photographing using Retas!Pro software from Tokyo-based Celsys in late 1998, added the new animation drawing software PencilMan VI, developed by Celsys, in July, and will be using Wacom products to prepare key animation and video work as well for full digital production, according to Kazumasa Horikawa, manager of production management.
