New local production company Cinemancer will invest US$3.6 million in Avatar Exile, a sci-fi movie. The movie is aimed at an international audience and will feature an international cast and crew to complement local talent.

Cinemancer is led by Kuo Jian Hang and Anthony Fu, who will direct and produce the project. Kuo was the director of Agong Bak Kut Teh (Grandpa's Meat Bone Tea), a TV movie which was awarded Best Telefeature at the Singapore International Film Festival.
