Following up its "Media Without Bounds" initiative at NAB, Grass Valley Group (GVG) displayed a range of systems aimed at improving workflow efficiency and cost control. Taking centre stage was the Media Area Network (MAN) option for the Profile XP Media Platform.
Harnessing both digital video and telecoms-based network technology, MAN can distribute more than 40 channels of video and 300 channels of audio and claims to be the industry's only shared-storage system offering both real time capabilities and Windows NT accessibility.
