Southeast Asia remains one of the untapped treasure troves of content. For the western market especially, a popular and identifiable Southeast Asian theme for films and documentaries is the Vietnam war. But this is a subject that has, more often than not, been tackled only by western filmmakers.
A new feature film, entitled Song of the Stork, and directed by Singaporean filmmaker Jonathan Foo and his Vietnamese counterpart Ngyuen Phan Quang Binh, boasts several firsts in the motion picture production industry.
