Softimage's Toonz provides users with tools to accurately scan and test original pencil drawings as well as ink and paint, composite, position, and animate inked cels over backgrounds, create multi-layer exposure sheets (Xsheets), animate the camera, and create a variety of visual effects.
The latest version of Toonz, release 4.5, which was announced at SIGGRAPH last August, introduced support for the popular Macromedia Flash format. Embedded into the Ink&Paint portion of the software, this feature enables users to export vectorised Toonz levels directly to the web.
