News Corp's NDS Group plc, has completed development of an open end-to-end cable TV system for the South Korean cable TV market in conjunction with US-based strategic partner SCM Microsystems.
The system was demonstrated in Seoul for the first time at the end of July, and comes as the Korean government gears up to deploy digital cable services to between five and eight million households in the next five years.
