A consortium, including a co-founder of the company, has bought the business and assets of Advanced Rendering Technology Ltd (ART), which provides rendering solutions such as PURE and RenderDrive 3D.

Daniel Hall, one of the co-founders of ART, returns to head the company as chief executive officer. He stepped down from day-to-day operations in 2000.

The newly acquired company will keep the Advanced Rendering Technology name. It also said in a press release that it would focus its resources and efforts on the virtual photography application of computer graphics.
