Look sharp: this month, Asia Image features a showcase of new looks for programmes as well as teasers from broadcasters around the region. (frame store).

Commissioned by Indonesian broadcaster RCTI to revamp the look of four of its news programmes, Jakarta-based Red Rocket Animation took on the job of creating an "updated concept" that would be different for each of the programmes yet have a similar design that ties them all together.

Featured here is the morning news programme that airs daily at 5.30 am. The idea of reflections was conceptualised to reflect the time period of the show. Starting with a black screen, glass panels open like shutters and viewers enter an illuminated environment.
