Hong Kong martial arts films have won large followings the world over and Hong Kong action starts and martial arts choreographers such as Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Corey Yuen and Yuen Wo Ping have all successfully made inroads into Hollywood.
Yet, for all the attractions of the martial arts genre and the Hong Kong film industry's attempts at forging the high-tech river of bits 'n' bytes and computer graphics, the industry has yet to explore the possibility of presenting Hong Kong action, animation-style.
