The Asian Television Awards has attracted a record number of entries this year. The Board of Trustees announced that some 1,826 entries were received for the 2003 awards programme, a 10 per cent increase from 2002. Some 189 companies from 15 countries entered this year's awards. Launched eight years ago, the Asian Television Awards recognises excellence in programming and performance by Asian broadcasters.
