Independent Television (iTV) is looking for overseas sales when it broadcasts a 40-episode animation series, Vayu, in early 2004. The cartoon series, which features 58 characters, is targeted at child audiences and will air on weekend mornings. Its central character is a monkey with magical powers, although in Hindu mythology, Vayu is the wind god, father of Hanuman, the monkey god.
