Movie studio Toho announced it will discontinue the production of its series of Godzilla monster movies after the 50th anniversary commemorative feature, "Godzilla Final Wars" to be released at the end of this year.
Twenty-seven Godzilla movies have been produced since 1954. The most recent, Godzilla: Tokyo SOS was released in 2003.
