Digital Projection has added to its value-driven 3-chip DLP Mercury range the Mercury 500HD, which incorporates 3-chip Dark Metal DLP technology by Texas Instruments and delivers brightness of 4,500 ANSI lumens, and a contrast ratio of more than 1000: 1 through 1280 x 720 native resolution DMDs. The 500OHD's greyscale depth of 14-bits per DMD creates more than four trillion on-screen colours.
