A recent report from global market intelligence and advisory firm IDC, "Growth of IPTV: Is It Happening in Asia/Pacific?", indicated the number of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) subscribers in Asia Pacific excluding Japan is expected to grow from nearly half a million subscribers in 2004 to over 20 million subscribers by 2009 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 110 per cent.
