Watching television has never been more distracting. We owe this phenomenon to broadcast designers who are constantly striving to out-innovate each other by plying TV airplay with sideshow antics and visual graphics wizardry. They do this by manipulating whatever little airtime they can squeeze, in between regular programming, and sometimes even in the middle of them.
