In the summer of 2005, the Fox Studios in Sydney was bustling with activity. The production of Superman Returns was underway and the CGI animated feature Happy Feet was keeping a few hundred animators on their toes. Tucked away on the fourth floor of building 61 on the Fox lot, Warren Lynch's new Digital Intermediate (DI) facility, Intercolour, was busy providing full color correction, effects, and other finishing touches to feature films, in time for Cannes.
