New exposures: weight considerations made veteran cameraman Jim Frater reluctantly choose a HDV camera for a documentary shoot in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Jim Frater received a call from producer Paul Entwistle, asking whether he was keen to shoot a new travel show Postcards WA.

The brief was candidly straightforward but deceptively simple:

"Do you want a job shooting a couple of stories in Papua New Guinea? It'll be fun. Going to be long hard days but very rewarding. A chance for some great pictures. Small crew. Just you and the producer/presenter. No budget!"
