UK: Bluefish 444 Europe has released redThing and blueThing, multi-standard HD-SDI to DVI-I converters for HD/SDI or SD/SDI monitoring to allow HD or SD signals to be viewed on LCD, plasma or projector displays.

redThing and blueThing accept SD-SDI at 525/625 line-rates, or 720p/1080i/1080p/1080PsF HD-SDI. Incoming signals and output resolution are auto-sensed to ensure image conformity when viewed on 16:9 and 4:3 screens. The converters' spatial and temporal video processing with frame-rate conversion, scaling and de-interlacing functions.
