An analysis of uniformed naval personnel's perceptions of small businesses around a military base.

Soldiers residing in military bases deem the retail and entertainment establishments surrounding the bases as attractive areas for passing leisure time. The proliferation of used car dealers does not hamper the enlisted men's enjoyment of the areas. Rather, the presence of these dealers was found to be directly correlated to the soldiers' enjoyment. Also, the presence of night clubs seemed to heighten the attractiveness of the commercial center.
