Natchez hotel and historical landmark Monmouth Plantation has been highlighted on Rand McNally's "Can't Miss" list in the new Southeast Getaway Guide. The antebellum home was built in 1818, and its luxurious accommodations have earned it a Four Diamond rating from AAA, and places on Conde Nast's 2006 Gold List and Trauel Leisure's 2006 Top Hotels. Both Glamour magazine and USA Today have called the antebellum inn one of the 10 most romantic places in America.

"We are delighted to be recognized," says Monmouth owner Lani Riches, who purchased the plantation in 1978 and painstakingly restored it to its antebellum splendor. "We're honored to know that people who travel in Mississippi will not only know about us, but be able to see us right on the map."
