Despite the cyclical ups and downs of the industrial truck market, the trend toward the internationalization of ownership, manufacturing, and marketing is continuing, both here in the U.S. and overseas.

For example, Caterpillar and Mitsubishi have formed a joint venture to design, manufacture, and sell trucks, with local manufacturing and marketing centers for the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Mitsubishi holds 80% of the equity in the new jointventure company.
