Vertical carousels shrink floor space requirements by 78%

For Micron Custom Manufacturing Services, the question was how to find more space without expanding a building. The answer took the form of four vertical carousels from Remstar International which converted scarce horizontal space at the company's Boise, Idaho, facility into a compact vertical storage area.

Faced by growing customer demand and the need to find more floor space for manufacturing, Micron selected vertical carousels to shrink one department's parts storage space requirement from 8,900 square feet to just 2,000 - freeing up some 6,900 square feet of floor space.
