Today is the forty-fourth anniversary of the 2.28 case in Taiwan. Although the young generation has only limited knowledge of this tragic affair, native people in the province older than forty-five more or less know of it. Of course, a considerable number of people have sympathy for those innocent people who were killed or injured in this unfortunate affair.
